Mackenzie L. Burch is an Attorney at Murphy & Dunn, P.C. Mackenzie graduated from University of Missouri – Kansas City Law School in December 2021. At the time of her graduation, she published an article titled ‘The Changing Landscape of Spousal Support’ in the Journal of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers regarding tax changes and its impact on spousal support for both those paying and receiving it. She went on to get her Missouri Bar License and practiced family law in Missouri as an Attorney at a family law firm until moving to Bloomington, Illinois. She joined Murphy & Dunn, P.C. in 2024 and received her Illinois Bar License in 2025. Mackenzie began her family law career by working as a clerk to Judge Kathleen Sloan in abuse and neglect court in Johnson County, Kansas, where she found her passion for helping families. She went on to work as a clerk and paralegal at a law firm specializing in family law until she graduated law school and began as an attorney at a family law firm in St. Charles, Missouri. Mackenzie has worked in all aspects of family law over the years including divorce, child custody, child support, and wills. She has the drive and passion to advocate for her clients and ensure they are heard and understood throughout the entire process while protecting their best interests.
